On this course you will study the historiography of human rights in politics and philosophy during the modern era, and excavate debates on legitimation and justification of human rights.
In combination with studies of original works of central importance, you will gain knowledge about how current research constructs the place and role of human rights in modern history. Focus is on political and scholarly implication in our own time of how the histories of human rights are written.
